Bell Tower

Mr. David E. Armstrong purchased the 16 Note Deagan Tower Chime Carillon for the bell tower in memory of his wife, Carolyn Smead Armstrong.

J. C. Deagan, Inc. only built 440 Carillons across the United States, and this Carillon is one of two that were constructed in Arkansas.  This is a complete rank of chimes weighing approximately 8,800 pounds.  The bell tower was constructed at the center of the church in 1926. Designed by R. H. Hunt and Associates from Chattanooga, Tennessee, the center (the bell tower) was designed to reach to the heavens and give melodious sounds to God.

The Westminster chime, which sounds every quarter-hour, has been a staple in El Dorado for years.
