FPC hosts a Vacation Bible School each June using a variety of themes. VBS is free and runs for one-week Monday – Thursday 9:00 am until noon. All children going into Kindergarten – 6th grade in El Dorado and surrounding areas. This is a fun filled week that the children look forward to each year.
In July each summer we host the Presbyterian Camp Ferncliff’s Camp-2-You program. Ferncliff camp counselors travel to El Dorado to spend the week with us delivering their day camp program for the children of El Dorado and surrounding areas. This day camp is a full day program running from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday for children going into 1st grade through 6th grade. This free day camp is filled with fun activities and Bible lessons led by trained camp counselors.
On the Sunday before school starts in El Dorado, we celebrate the beginning of the new school year with a free pancake breakfast at 9:00 am in place of our Sunday school program. During the Worship service at 10:00 am we bless backpacks, briefcases, and other back to school items. These two annual events have become a favorite tradition of the young and old alike to end the summer and begin a new school year.
